Frequently Asked Questions

Can teams game the system?

Several safeguards make this difficult: run differential is capped at ±12, games must be verified by both teams, and auto-verified games are down-weighted. The confidence indicator flags teams with low verification rates so you know how much to trust a rating.

Does my team need to be registered to appear in rankings?

Any team can appear in game histories and rankings once a game is uploaded against them — even if they haven't registered. Their numeric DiamondRank stays hidden until someone claims the team and registers.

What happens if my opponent doesn't verify our game?

If your opponent doesn't respond after about a week, the game is automatically verified using the uploaded score. You can still file a dispute after auto-verification if the score is incorrect.

Is DiamondRank available for softball or other sports?

DiamondRank started with youth baseball, but the ranking engine isn't baseball-specific — it works for any sport where teams play head-to-head games with scores. Softball is next on our roadmap.
